SOLES OF LONDON
Soles of London is a photographic index of shoe soles, made into a single edition, hand bound and embossed book. Capturing shoe soles in a portable photo booth carried across the city. The book contains a supporting essay by Chloe Votskos, written using Solar’s field notes. The collection prompts introspection, highlighting how often we neglect our own soles until discomfort arises.

What would happen if I let go of the control over the layout of my own book?
I set up all my printed outcomes and let other people fiddle with it, creating their own narratives.
The way the pile was left as in the end, is the way it was bound.
